Berea is a band that formed in August 2007 with members Danny Robles, Brock O'Dell, Sean Armitage, James Karner, and Jon Brubaker. After playing four shows with the band, Brock left in order to continue writing and recording for his solo project. Therefore, in February 2008, the band's close friend Dan Schaibly joined the group in order to help the group achieve a fuller sound. After taking some time improve old music and write new music during the Spring and Summer of 2008, Berea recorded a 7 track CD entitled "Empty Vessels" in Fall 2008. The CD is currently available for purchase on iTunes (click the link below)!
In August 2009, after playing and recording for close to 3 years, Berea announced that they would be playing their final show and moving forward with their respective lives. As individual schedules and priorities continued to change and become increasingly demanding, each member in Berea was not able commit the time, effort, and energy needed in order to practice, play shows, write new music, film, and promote Berea.
We want to thank all of you for your continued support over the years, especially those of you who’ve been there since the beginning. Whether it was coming to a show, buying a CD or shirt, booking us, teaching us, recording us, filming us, telling your friends about us, or just listening on Myspace from time to time, we appreciate it. Music is a gift that must be shared and had you not participated, it would have been in vain. Thank you. Thank you family, friends and fans!
