Movies20060506 Someone just complained about me linking to Amazon because they're a bad business. It is true that I don't like bad businesses, but regardless of whether or not they are, they are the best for what I need. Instead of retyping it, here is my response regarding this issue: My books and movies link to Amazon because they have a short description and really cheap used copies. I don't even know where the they come from. They might be sold by people like me and you, maybe Amazon actually buys them and resells them for profit. I don't really care where they come from, if they're cheap and reused they're fine by me for now. It gives people who are curious about my suggestions a way to quickly read a summary and even buy them for absurdly low prices. I just checked the first movie and book on my list, "The Yes Men" dvd for $4 and "Guns, Germs, and Steel" paperback for $6.59. I use Amazon because they do what they do well. Until I or someone else can provide a better way for people to learn about and obtain these movies and books, Amazon is the best option. Sometimes sacrifices must be made...

About me:
Eric Bidwell is a third generation native San Diegan.

He is 26 years old and is an only child to a single mother.

Though he has lived many places around San Diego, a majority of it has been in the central metropolitan area.

He attended many schools in San Diego before dropping out and taking the California High School Proficiency Exam when he was 17.

After a semester at San Diego Community College financial problems required him to go to work and postpone his education.

After an existential crisis at 21 years old he decided to stop working and pursue self education, primarily through the internet and real world experience.

This path of education has led him to start a political t-shirt business, an activism focused community website, and most recently a run for Mayor of San Diego.

It is my pleasure to know you! You are a very interesting person, and I'm glad we're at least "friends" in the virtual world. The debate brought me to find you, but I like what you have to say about your personal self.

;) Have a wonderful week~
