The Atlanta music scene is never destitute or in need of a new hip hop dance, cliché or
music movement, however the Atlanta music industry is always in need of a new sound,
some distinction and someone who is not afraid to step outside the box, and spit
hardcore lyrics that represent not only the streets of Atlanta, but the ongoing struggle of
the world. This distinction is found in rap newcomer “Diego Ca$h”.
On a cool, cloudy morning in Decatur, GA, two young men made a quick stop for gas.
Although details are a little imprecise and vague a confrontation with a would-be
assailant quickly took a terrible turn. Four shots later, one man was rushed to Dekalb
Medical Center suffering from a gunshot wound and severe internal bleeding. The bullet
had missed his spine by ¼ inch. The following months would prove a true test of this
man. He was hospitalized twice. He suffered through several setbacks, special surgeries,
and potentially crippling procedures. After months of intense rehabilitation, the man
was finally back on his feet. With a renewed sense of dedication to his life and to his
music, he returned to the studio. He had learned the hard way what many of us take for
granted; life is precious and all too short. The wheels are now in motion. Soon you'll
