Bergen Mandolinband er eit femmannsorkester beståande av Olav Christer Rossebø, Ståle Holgersen, Gaute M. Sortland, Ingemund Askeland og Kjetil Olai Lundø.
At alle er frå Haugesundsområdet har ikkje stoppa dei i å kalle seg nettopp Bergen Mandolinband. For det var i Bergen i det starta. Rundt 2001 var dei knapt noko band, men gode venner som ville lære seg å spele mandolin, rundt eit kjøkenbord. Det vart ganske tidlig klart at ikkje alle eigna seg som mandolinspelerar, så difor fann dei øvrige medlemma etter kvart fram til andre instrument og nokre begynte å synge. Etterkvart begynte dei å spele på festar for å gjere folk glade og ville, noko dei aldri har slutta med. Den første spelejobben og kjensla av at Bergen mandolinband var blitt eit band, kom med den legendariske morellfestivalen i Hardanger 2001.
Seinare vart det meir speling og reportoaret vaks etter som åra gjekk. Dei satsa meir på eigenlaga, og stulen country og norske låtar. Sjølv om besetninga er som i bluegrass ligg dei nærare Old-time sjangeren, miksa saman med eigenlaga viser og valsar, spelt på mandolin, intrumentet med slagkrafta til ein squash-rekkert, og ubegrensa sentimental styrke!
I 2008 fekk bandet platekontrakt på det fabelaktige norske selskapet Grappa, og plata "Lang veg til Tysvær" har allerede høstet lovord og gode kritikker.

Upload artist videos to http://www.MyVideo.de and http://www.ClipFish.de . Both websites are like http://www.YouTube.com and uploading videos is free. The websites are completely in German. If you don’t speak German and need assistance, I will help you open an account and upload a video for 25 Euro. Each additional video upload for the same artist name and at the same video website is 10 Euro.
