We can help get you started right away, or we can give yo direction on trying something different. Our Community Volunteer Services Department helps students and adults from all walks of life as well as groups of all kinds -- school, civic, communities of faith, etc.

RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) places seniors age 55+ in meaningful volunteer positions where they can turn a lifetime of experience into the experience of a lifetime!

We also offer two mentoring programs: Volunteers in Protective Services (VIPS) are trained and caring adult men and women who provide guidance to children who have suffered abuse, neglect or extreme isolation. Mentoring Moms are trained and caring adult women who provide guidance to overwhelmed mothers who need help with parenting and life skills.

Corporate volunteering has been a key activity of the Volunteer Center for a long time. The Northern New Jersey Business Volunteer Council is an alliance of 30+ companies that participate in activities that help low income families and children.

We offer a variety of trainings that help public and private agencies in the areas of human resources, fund raising, marketing, website development and financial management in addition to all aspects of volunteer program management. Find out more at www.bergenvolunteers.org.
