Influences
I like a certain type of author. A Kurt Vonnegut, George Orwell, Erich von Daniken, Tolkien, Blake, Huxley, Crowley, Wilde, or Seuss will do just fine.
As for music, come on. The Pixies, the Kinks, Stones, Beatles, Os Mutantes, Django Reinhardt, Monk, Coltrane, Davis, Eric fuckin' Dolphy, Deerhoof, METRIC, Captain Beefheart, Neutral Milk Hotel, Big Black, the Clash, Tom Waits, etc.... (just imagine if I kept going).
I also like the good old day to day stuff. Like a good pair of boots, warm socks, a nature trail, a guitar with broken-in strings, strong aromatic coffee, a good cookie, my trusty bicycle, a half tank of gas, and friends.
I'm living in Marquette, Michigan. Waking up early every day for school and work. I'm liking the weather in the U.P. right now. There's snow on the ground, which means that there will soon be a log jams worth of new songs pouring out of me, just like last year around this time.
Otherwise, I write some here and there when I have time.
Check out the tunes on here, it's a decent cross section of my life the last few years.
"..it may be the most insignificant contribution to the world of music this year..."- (This article appeared on page E - 1 of the San Francisco Chronicle)

Check out our new music video "I Hate the News" on our page. Pour a bowl of cereal and join us on this romp through a typical day of TV journalism. It's not pretty but hopefully, it'll give you a chuckle.
Eric, Thanks for visiting our MySpace site and being our new friend. We hope that all is well in your life. Black Angel released our third album in two years on Earth Day April 22, 2009. It is called "O' San Francisco". We asked Tiffany Lowe, granddaughter of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash (and daughter of country singer, Carlene Carter, and British rocker, Nick Lowe) to sing on the album. The top picture below is of Tiffany in the studio recording with us. The album is dedicated to a close associate of Black Angel who recently died who was a big Johnny Cash fan. We also have former Johnny Cash drummer, Danny Darling, playing on the album. We hope to be touring soon and we may be playing shows with former Black Angel singer, Audrey (Mrs. Ike) Turner. The bottom picture is of Black Angel playing at The Roxy in Los Angeles a few years ago with (left to right): Tomeka Haywood; me; Audrey Turner; and Ronnie Turner (son of Ike and Tina Turner on bass). Please check us out when we come to your town.

Lookin' good - I like your new cover picture! Want to thank you again, for your song from last year. I still have it saved and if I can figure out how to post it on my site, will do so with full credit and a link to you. All of your music is enjoyable.
Curious about my vocal sound you say? Mostly I sing into the bell of my Sousaphone to get a period and tinny reverb... I also have a very ancient ribbon microphone... ideally I would use an Edison Cylinder Recorder but currently make do with half inch reel to reel. Good Luck!
