Start Your College Education or Job Training Today
with Fall 2012 Classes at Berkeley City College
Berkeley City College (BCC) begins its Fall 2012 semester at its 2050 Center St. campus, Mon., Aug. 20. Registration is open now through Sun., Sept. 2, and for short-term classes, until the day they begin. The community college enrollment fee for California residents is $46 per unit and is subject to change by the California legislature. Financial aid is available.
BCC’s associate degree, transfer, and job training programs accommodate those who have diverse work schedules and lifestyles. BCC’s Online Transfer College is designed for those who find it difficult to attend classes on campus and would rather work on their college courses at home or at times convenient to their schedules.
Afternoon College is designed for people who work mornings or evenings. Evening and Saturday College is for those who work a 9-to-5 schedule or who have family responsibilities.
University transfer, associate degree and certificate programs are in American Sign Language, biotechnology, business, information technology, computer information systems, English, multimedia arts, fine and applied arts, international trade, liberal arts, social services, Spanish and the travel/tourism industry.

Eight-Week Computer Science, Web Programming
Office Technology Classes Start Mon., Mar 22 at Berkeley City College
Eight-week spring session in business, computer science, and information technology. Lecture and self-placed training sessions offer beginning and advanced training on PC and Macintosh. All Fear Eats the Soul debuts Mon, Mar. 7 at 6:30 p.m. in BCC’s auditorium as part of the college’s Global Cinema Series. A lecture by UC Davis graduate student Sascha Gerhards examines the film’s meaning at 1 p.m. Thur., Mar. 10, in Rm. 33. Both events are free and open to the public.

Berkeley City College launches a spring 2011 “Readings Underground” series presented by several noted Bay Area authors. March readings take place in Berkeley City College’s auditorium on the ground floor at 2050 Center St. between Shattuck and Milvia, in Berkeley.
The college is located one-half block from the downtown Berkeley BART station and from several AC Transit bus stops. The events are free and open to the public. March presentations are:
