The Berlin Brides’ sound is a hybrid of electro, punk and powerpop. They are: Natasha, lyricist and lead singer, Marilena, keybordist who gives the band its electronic identity, and Elena, adding raw energy on the drums.
Conceived in Berlin and formed in Greece they are reinventing the music scene in Athens with their caustic all english lyrics and their combustible live performances.
They have toured Greece extensively and have played in Buffalo Bar, London as winners of the Velvet Magazine Prize 2009, granted by Artrocker Magazine, which labeled their EP ‘Failure to Wank’ as the one of the two best releases of 2008. They have played alongside CocoRosie, Kap Bambino, Klaxons, Jarvis Cocker and Royksopp.
Berlin Brides are currently working on their debut album in collaboration with prolific greek producer Coti, due to be released in 2010.
