I grew up in the south in the 50s on the Florida/Georgia line. And believe me, it was more like southern Georgia and Alabama than Miami or Atlanta. It was gospel, country, bluegrass, blues, and later rockabilly and folk, then the 60s it was rock, southern rock, country rock, west coast, it was acoustic and electric music. BERLIN GUITARS is an independent and privately owned and operated business. We are located in the historic city section of Schoeneberg in Berlin, Germany where the sensational and fabulous Sally Bowles (Cabaret) lived in the twenties in Berlin. Where the cabarets and variety clubs were located, the Kit Kat Klub, the area where Marlene Dietrich frequented, where Christopher Isherwood lived in the 20s and David Bowie and Iggy Pop in the 70s. Romy Haag and Lightning Buck lived in our part of town. Very cool area. Great cafes, book stores, coffee bars, independent boutiques, small hotels, and a guitar store called Berlin Guitars that has great in-store live concerts.

JOE BONAMASSA honored us with a visit on May 19th. He came in with the guitar tech, road tour manager and then spent an hour trying guitars and vintage effects, talked to customers and was a very nice guy.
