BerlinSong is a story about six musicians from Berlin's vibrant new urban folk underground music scene. They came to Berlin from the US, Norway, the Netherlands and Australia and somehow made the city their home. Filmmaker Uli M Schueppel made the artists show him what their very own place in Berlin is and asked each of them to write a song about the city. These reflections and projections on Berlin (or specifically Kreuzberg) merge with the writing process of the songs, recording in the studio and the preparation for a concert with all artists in the club "West Germany". BerlinSong is a poetic portrait of these musicians and at the same time, an atmospheric journey into the myth that is Berlin.

My noisey as sin, old testament experimental sludge-a-billy band is
playing with Karl Blau and Nino aus Wien MITTWOCH at Bang Bang Club,
Hackescher Markt.
Karl Blau is on K records. Lots of older hipsters have a K records
tattoo somewhere on their body. I had sex with a girl who had one
once. I think one of the The Sticks has a K records tattoo as well.
Even this guy sings about them.
Der Nino aus Wien calls his music Dadaist. Thats why when asked what
his new album sounds like, he replied, "Shoes". Pfffffffffft.
Anyway, the point is, if you dont wanna pay the full price at Bang Bang
club, you can come for cheap if you come at 11.45 just to see my band
tear the place to pieces.
