LA ROUTE VERS.... LA STEEL GUITAR.....
Venu à la guitare par le rock des années 60,
l'écoute de DJANGO et des SHADOWS.
Un long cheminement au travers des cabarets,
bars, premières parties où le swing
et le FUN étaient toujours présents.
Une période Bossa Jazzy à la guitare,
toujours encore présente...
un Revival Shadows dont nous sommes
encore fiers des traces...

puis un vieux rêve remontant aux années 75-78,
trouver une Steel Guitar..
surpris de trouver une Fender Simple manche
dans les années 90 chez un pote pianiste.
rien fait dessus de sérieux avant Internet
et les premiers contacts essentiels.
Mon remplacement (harmonieux) en solo
dans les Blue Shadows a permis
le déblocage STEEL (enfin) en Avril 2002.
l'achat de la WBS double manche en NOV 2002
a marqué le début de cette nouvelle aventure...
ITINERAIRES - ORIGINAL WAYS
A LONG ROAD TO STEEL...
It was the Rock ’n Roll of the Sixties,
DJANGO REINHARDT and the SHADOWS
that made me take up the guitar.
Then there opened up a long road which wound
its way through cabarets, bars and guest spots,
ever imbued with an omnipresent swing style
and the simple pleasure of playing music.
My guitar and I became partial to Bossa Jazz,
and in fact, we still are.
There was a Shadows revival period
too which left a brand we have never ceased
to be proud of.

And then an old dream from somewhere
between ’75 and ’78 came back to haunt me;
I wanted to try my hand at the Pedal Steel Guitar.
To my surprise, I found a single-neck Fender
in the 90s at the home of a musician friend,
although nothing constructive emerged until
the arrival of Internet and the build-up of vital contacts.
At long last, in April 2002, a successful replacement
was found to release me from my position as lead guitar
in the Blue Shadows group.
In the month of November of the same year,
I purchased a double-neck WBS Pedal Steel
and began to explore, and continue to explore,
a whole new world.
