Cette phrase attribuée à Igor Stravinsky illustre bien le parcours de Bernard Weadling puisque c’est de la musique symphonique du début du XXème et notamment Stravinsky, Prokoviev ou Honegger qu’est né son intérêt pour la composition.
Mais c’est vers la fin des années 70 qu’il découvre le Synthétiseur et opte définitivement pour la Musique Electronique. Dès 1980 il dispose de son studio personnel où il compose et programme de longues heures ses synthétiseurs pour créer son univers sonore.
Durant les années 80, Bernard Weadling s’est régulièrement produit sur scène et a souvent composé pour l’audiovisuel.
En 1992, il a participé à un projet collectif de jeunes musiciens : la compilation « Synth’Axe » en partie enregistrée à son studio et sur laquelle se trouve trois de ses compositions.
Depuis la fin des années 90 il a créé un concept original de « concert-conférence », spectacle interactif, multimédia et pédagogique mêlant l’histoire de la Musique Electronique et son expérience personnelle d’artiste.
Pour ses nouveaux concerts, Bernard Weadling extrapole son expérience de compositeur pour l’image en intégrant de plus en plus le visuel à sa musique.

This sentence, attributed to Igor Stravinsky, illustrates perfectly the journey of Bernard Weadling, as it is from the Symphonic music of the beginning of the 20th Century and more noticably from Stravinsky, Prokoviev or Honegger, that was born his interest for composition.
But it is towards the end of the 70s that he discovers the synthesizer and chooses definitely Electronic music. From 1980, it is in his own studio that he composes and programs during long hours his synthesizers in order to create his musical universe.
During the 1980's, Bernard Weadling regularly produced himself on stage and has often composed for Audio visual.
In 1992, he participated in a collective joint project of young musicians: the compilation "Synth Axe" was in part taped in his studio and in it can be found three of his compositions.
From the end of the 90's, he created an original concept of "Concert-Conference", an interactive, multimedia and pedagogic show, mixing the history of Electronic music and his personal experience as a musician.
For his new concerts, Bernard Weadling expends his experience as a composer in images while integrating more and more the visual in his music.
