Singing in her indigenous language as well as exploring links with the musical traditions of Scotland and the American Old-time tradition, Bernie’s music speaks easily to the listening ear. The melodies of her native Dingle, she warmly shares with us through her accordion playing, whilst the ukulele is her preferred medium of transmission for the Old-time story. Collaborating with such artists as Steve Cooney, Liam O’ Maonlaí, Luka Bloom, Pauline Scanlon and many more, Bernie’s musical presence is strong and natural, as is evident in her debut album Spideoigín.
