About me:

My name is Besa Kosova, and, yes, this is my real name. I am an Albanian born, American writer, and soon to be bestselling author :-). I discovered my passion for books, poetry, and writing in elementary school. The first poem I penciled – at age six – was about peace. At age eight, I decided to become a writer. Since then, I have not stopped writing. My first poetry collection, Raindrops, was published in September 2007. When I am not writing, I enjoy helping others and collecting anything Coca-Cola. Besides that, I am also many other things: the founder of a non-profit organization, My One School Inc. (www.myoneschool.org), Director of Fundraising and Development for Child Literacy Inc. (www.childliteracy.org) and Save a girl Child (www.saveagirlchild.org), proud Rotarian (www.rotary.org), Creative Writing Student at the University of Central Florida, and a bookstore owner! Nonetheless, my greatest job is raising the two most 'awesomest' children, my brilliant son, Nathaniel, and oh-so talented daughter, Gentiana. At present, my biggest projects are: raising funds to build another school in India (Yes, can't wait for that!), promote the backpack drive for our local families, expand My One School, publish the first book of my series, Eliana’s Diary of Kosova, as well as develop a couple more franchaises that circle my mind relentlessly... Yup, that's me in the nutshell -- forever exploring my creative universe... What about you? Tell me more…

Who I'd like to meet:

GOD & Oprah Winfrey :0)
