Alice Elizabeth Smith was born on October 29, 1967, in Denver, Colorado, to Garry (of the Kansas City Athletics) and Bonnie Smith. Beth worked various jobs before getting into bail bonds. She worked as an Inventory Control Clerk at the biggest Ford dealership in the US, as a singer in nightclubs with the band "The Glass Menagerie," and she also worked for Colorado State Senator Don Sandoval. It was at the age of 21 that Beth became the youngest licensed bondsman in Colorado history. She soon gained a legislative position in the Bail Association and was a force in getting Colorado bail laws re-written. In her personal life, Beth was married first to Keith Barmore. Yet, as we all know, her soul mate is the one and only Duane "Dog" Chapman! Beth & Dog were married on May 20, 2006. She is the mother of four children: Dominick, Cecily, Bonnie Jo and Garry.
For those of you who are unaware, there is an official Dog The Bounty Hunter web site. I am a member of the fan club and love the site!! Every member has their own blog (including the Chapman's!), plus there is a chat room and message board. I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the show! IMPORTANT (PLEASE READ): THE ABOVE WEB SITE IS THE ONLY PLACE ON-LINE WHERE YOU CAN COMMUNICATE WITH THE CHAPMAN'S, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF BABY LYSSA'S MYSPACE SITE!!! I've just had a brainstorm - thanks to metweety! - for a fun section for this site. Do you have any fun graphics you've made of the Chapman's? How about artwork? Maybe you've written a poem for Beth or one of the other Chapman's. If so, why not send it to me and I'll feature it here. I'd like for the bulk to be for or about Beth, but I will except things for any of the Chapman's. (Note: It must be respectful of the Chapman's! That includes no "yummy" or lustful talk about Leland and Duane Lee.) Depending on how many things I receive, I might have to rotate things in and out. If you have anything you'd like me to consider for featuring in this section, just send me a message.

Dog and Beth presented a check to Mooseheart in April 2008 for $30,000, which they raised through their web site.
