Danyelle Demetrious Brown (A.K.A.) C-Dove, Born May 6, 1975, at University of Chicago, Lying In Hospital Chicago, Illinois, to his mother Lynetta Brown and his father Willie Ray Norwood Jr. both parents were raised in, and, are from Greenwood, Mississippi. He is the only child that his mother has.
Danyelle was 3 year old when his mother married his stepfather who also is from Greenwood, Mississippi. At the age of three he moved with his mother and stepfather to Lawton, Oklahoma where his stepfather was station while serving in the U.S. Army.
Later he moved to Oakland, California and attended 1st and 2nd grade, the son of parents employed as civilians by United State Government, his early years were spent traveling extensively in United States and Europe. From 1983-1988, he lived in Europe attending many schools there, and visiting different countries. He began playing football at the age of eight while attending school in Kaiserslautern, West Germany.
June 1988, Danyelle moved with his family to San Leandro, California He attended San Leandro High School and continued to play football. He averaged over 1,150 yards a season as a Running Back. During that time he began his writing and rapping career. He formed a group with three young men from Oakland with their own unique style with stage names: G-Roll age 17, Quista age 17 and C-Dove age 17. The group’s name was Mad Approach. They performed various rap, jazz and blues reaching boundaries that no one at that time had explored. Mad Approach, at such an early age had 25 songs written and completed with 23 others in progress.
During May 1993, Danyelle and his mother moved back to Chicago, Illinois where his mother has accepted a job with another Government agency.
February 1994, his mother accepted another position with the Government in Huntsville, Alabama, Danyelle only stayed in Huntsville for 2 months, while in Huntsville he attended Bob Jones High School.
In March 1994, he returned back to Chicago, Illinois with his aunt Helen Washington, to further his education. There he met a young lady and they developed a relationship, which eventually took them into parenthood. May 1995 they married.

October 1995, Danyelle, moved back to Huntsville, Alabama bringing home his wife and child.
May 1996, Danyelle met 3 young men Bone-B, age 19, Velle age 16 and Lil-Mario age 14 and a female Tam-Tam age 17. They formed a group called Mello Drama. The group rehearsed daily from the hours of, 5pm-11pm under his mother’s supervision and advice.
May 1996, Mello Drama performed their first show as the opening act for the newly appointed Mayor for Tuskegee Alabama, Black Art Festival.
June 1996, the group performed in Huntsville, Alabama at June Black Art Festival and at other venues such as Harvest Alabama Back to School Jam and Chocolate City Lounge.
November 1997, Mello Drama received recognition when opening for “Master-P”, at the New International Amphitheatre Chicago, Illinois with such acts as Mystikal, MIA-X, Twista and Do-or-Die.
April 1998, the group performed as the opening act for Twista in Lawton, Oklahoma, with other acts such as Kelly Price, in Indianapolis Indiana,
July 1998, the group performed as open act at Indianapolis Black Expo opening “Kelly Price”, Indianapolis Indiana.
June 1999, the group performed as the opening act for Wu-Tang Clan, St Louis Missouri Black Expo.
July 1999, the group performed as the opening act for 112, SILK, Gap Band, Little J. J. in Gary Indiana Festival for Mayor Scott King.
In August 1999, the group performed as the opening act UGK in Indianapolis, Indiana, Club Mega.
In September 1999, the Group performed as the opening act for Mobb-Deep in Chicago, Illinois.
The other members of the group Mello Drama, has decided to do Solo Career.
Since then Danyelle has re-married a has a total of 5 children’s: “Two” daughters Danyelle and Nawja, “three” son Hashim, Donavon and Donyelle, and a stepdaughter by his second wife Jay.
He is also working on his solo album, D.N.A (Dove’s News Alert) and writing his autobiography entitled “The Best Kept Secert.” concerning his father Willie Ray Norwood Jr., the father of famous sister Brandy and his brother Ray J.
Dwight “Slack” has been a positive force and a father figure in the business, and other personal venues for Danyelle.
Danyelle was told by his mother, about his sister and brother at their early age prior to their stardom.
