About me:
I am a librarian ... don't make me shush you! I am about to turn most of my life upside down and move from Portland to the Bay Area. My dirty little secret in Portland is that I was born in California, but I never ever ever expected to live there as an adult. What have we learned from this? Never say never to the universe.
So, until I have a life in California to report on, I will say this about myself:
I lived in Oregon for almost ten rich, varied, rewarding, challenging, excitement-filled years, full of great friends, life lessons, and happiness. Professionally in that time I did everything from office management to business needs analysis and finished by wielding the power of information. When not searching for information you'd find me at the local independent movie theaters, at Beulahland for trivia night, or riding my bike many hundreds of miles in a year.
I rode Cycle Oregon twice, Seattle to Portland three times (and volunteered on the course once which was far harder than riding it), Monster Cookie ride multiple times, last year rode the Torture 10,000 (the short form, and it was interrupted by a dead squirrel and a friend's broken collarbone anyway), and crewed the Race Across Oregon. I've biked in Italy, the Yukon, and Alaska. Next up? who knows?? I've got a good friend kicking around the idea of going to Scotland next year. I'm SO in. I just want to sit in the pub and let them talk at me :)
I also volunteer, hike, camp, snowshoe, and kick ass. Just for fun.

Who I'd like to meet:
People who have great dinner parties, and good friends, and book and movie groups, and want me to come play.
