    There are many social groups to be involved in on Bethel's campus. Greek life: There are a number of fraternities and sororities to be involved in on campus. All fraternities and sororities will be Christian affiliated. Arete: this organization is dedicated to social services, and participates in many service projects for area needs. One of these projects included gathering supplies for a shelter for battered women. Advisor: Stacy Freeman, freemans@bethelu.edu. -Art Club: this organization is one our newest. It is for artists, as well as those interested in art. Plans include workshops, exhibits, and field trips. Advisor: Kathy Sacks, sacksk@bethelu.edu. -Campus Crusade for Christ: this is a national Christian student organization. It has a weekly meeting with bible study, and they are one of our most active groups on campus, sponsoring many events, including the campus Easter egg hunt. Advisor: Chaplain Anne Hames, hamesa@bethelu.edu. -Campus Dining Committee: this group is appointed by SGA and meets with the Food Services Director for input on menu selection. If you are interested, let a SGA officer know as soon as possible. Director of Food Services: Glenda Cary, caryg@bethelu.edu. -Chemical Society of America: this is a national organization for students interested in the science fields. If you are interested, contact Dr. Sarah Roberts, robertss@bethelu.edu. -Gamma Beta Phi: this organization is a national honors fraternity. If your grades qualify, you will be invited to join. Advisor: Sharon Scruton, scrutons@bethelu.edu. -Student Activities Committee: this organization works closely with the Director of Student Activities to plan and host events on campus. Membership is by appointment through SGA. If you are interested, contact Mrs. Victoria Ard, ardv@bethelu.edu. -Student Government Association: this is the governing body for the students. Meetings are open to all students, with each organization appointing one voting delegate. They are responsible for presenting student concerns and recommendations to the university, make appointments to various committees, and approve new organizations. SGA is involved in many activities of the Greek community and campus life. Advisor: Dean James Stewart, stewartj@bethelu.edu. -Student TN Educators Association: this organization is for those majoring or with a minor in education. It is an active group, with one of the largest memberships on campus. Advisor: Dr. Tom Hisiro, hisirot@bethelu.edu. -Students in Free Enterprise: SIFE is a national organization made up of students interested in business. They participate in regional and national competitions.

About me:

Bethel’s mission is to create opportunities for members of the learning community to develop to their highest potential as a whole persons-- intellectually, spiritually, socially, and physically-- in a Christian environment. We were established in 1842 and are proudly affiliated with the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. You don't have to be CP however to attend Bethel University. Every denomination is welcome here! Here's a few quick facts about Bethel: -We're located in the scenic small town of McKenzie, TN. -We provides all full time students a laptop. After completing 2 years at Bethel, the laptop is yours! -We offer students 27 majors and 23 minors. -Bethel offers athletic scholarships to students in 17 men's and women's sports programs. -Bethel also has a Renaissance program that offers scholarships equal to athletics to students in band, choir, and theater. -Bethel has a gym, indoor pool, nursing program facilities, Renaissance theater performance center, Physician Assistant facilities, an apartment complex, and the Autism Institute. -Bethel also has weight lifting and training facilities, a new fitness center and newly remodeled sports arenas. -Bethel University offers 24 hour security to students.
