....About BethesJah.... .. Bethesjah can be difficult to describe. It's less of a band, more of a community of Bethesda (MD) teenagers that like to get together and chill, follow their favorite bands around like lemmings, and most of all - JAM. Bethesjah has included some of the most talented, original young musicians in the Bethesda community and invites anyone and everyone with a passion for music and a creative voice to be a part of this growing jam-loving crew. .. Play an instrument? We invite you to jam with us, send a message and we'll give you details. .. We'd like to extend thanks to ..East Coast Music Production.. for making studio week happen, and ....Matt Lilja.... for designing our nasty Reggaemon logo. .... ....Recent Updates.... .. ....Monday, May 14, 2007.... - OH WHATTTUP KIDDDZ. Been a minute, right? Word on the street is Dan and Wilson and those Denver kids have been jammin' some bluegrass. We're gonna have to get a slice of that pie on this page pretty soon. I've been loving life here at UMD and jammin with some of my homies here. I took a couple of my friends to the studio to record this jam "I Like to Blaze." They call themselves, ..Pigeons Playing Ping-Pong.., and they got game. Look foreward to new jams coming up soon, the crew is about to assemble .. ....Wednesday, September 27,2006.... - VanToai-Shesser Production and Management has been hard at work spreading around the good word of their first group, ....Mission South.... (previously the Dan Miller Trio). VanShess has just finished the design of the groups new myspace page, ..www.myspace.com/missionsouth.., and is currently booking fall and winter shows for the band. A new CD is due out by next Spring, and a show calender will be up soon. .. ....Monday, August 28, 2006.... - After weeks of speculation and brainstorming, BethesJah musicians Mark Shesser and Alan VanToai have finally gotten the ball rolling on their latest project: ....VanToai-Shesser Production and Management..... Their new website registered Sunday night will be up soon, and will be found at ..www.VanShess.com... Dan Miller's Trio consisting of Miller, Max Harwood, and John Beck are their first clientelle, and their first demo is already available. Look back soon for more updates on VanShess and the Dan Miller Trio .. ....Friday, August 25, 2006.... - I hit the studio Thursday night producing the trio consisting of Dan Miller (vocals/guitar), Max Harwood (drums), and John Beck (bass). Singer/songwriter Olivia Dobbs also graced us with her presence to provide a backing vocal track on one song. What was only supposed to be a 3-4 hour session grew into a detail-obsessed animal that didn't have us home until 4am that night, with three unfinished raw demo songs. After work this evening Miller and I sat down in the studio and worked through every aspect of each of the three recorded songs with a fine tooth comb - adjusting track levels/EQ and effects, recording backing vocal tracks, and re-recording a few of Thursday's imperfect vocal tracks. The fruits of our labor were three exceptional songs recorded in great sound - completely worth the sleep deprivation and the consequential late late night hysteria that crept in on all 5 of us towards the end of the night. One of the three songs is now available here on our myspace... enjoy. -Alan .. ....Thursday, August 24, 2006 part II.... - Well, I couldn't sleep after last night's studio session so I went back to East Coast Music at 4am and spent 5 hours mastering "Cliffs".
