Beth grew up in Houston, Texas. She moved to Austin in 1999 to attend U.T. and hopefully start a music career. Frequenting the open mics at Cactus Café and Ruta Maya, she met local musicians that encouraged her to develop her talent. After several years of writing and working on her vocal style, she decided to go into the studio. After recording two originals 7 years prior, in 2000, she finally decided it was time to make a full-length album. It started off as a demo, but after enlisting a band to record with, she decided to go ahead and make a full-length album featuring Ron Flynt (20/20), Scrappy Jud Newcomb(Resentments, Loose Diamonds), Jimmy Dundon (Jimmy’s Pawn Shop, Bayou City Stax), Lisa Harrington-Squyres (Carolyn Wonderland and the Imperial Monkeys, Jimmy’s Pawn Shop), David Newbould, and Ian Bailey (Loose Diamonds). Her c.d. is being sold at shows and is available at Waterloo and Cheapo's in town. Beth was recently mentioned in Rob Patterson's Sidetracks column in Texas Music Magazine as a musician to "keep an ear peeled" for. She stands at "the crossroads where roots and rock meet, like a sweet, sad angel ready to deal with the devil in all of us. With the support of the working musicians she admires, she is working to break into the local scene. She plays shows around the Austin area with local musicians she has met over the past couple of years, which include those featured on the album, as well as drummer Vicente Rodriguez (The Drakes, The Blazers), Wayne Duncan (Wayne Sutton, Mario Matteoli) and guitar-player Matt Giles (The Drakes, Toni Price), and Jasper (Mario Matteoli, Jane Bond).
