"Beautiful. What a voice! They need to make an alarm clock that plays Morning Love – everyone would want to wake up to that song!”
Jeremy Sallis, BBC Radio Cambridgeshire
Hi. My name's Beth, and I'm from Sunderland, although these days live down in Cambridge. Music has always been a big deal for me. I’ve been involved with music all my life as a singer and pianist, from singing my heart out as a 3 year old to singing at the Royal Albert Hall. I concentrated on classical music for the early part of my career, and sang with the London Symphony Chorus and as a soloist around the UK, including the Edinburgh Fringe.
But now, I concentrate on writing and performing my own songs. I’ve been very lucky to have performed with my band in some great places over the last two years, including High Barn, The Bedford and festivals. My music has been played on local and national radio, and I’ve had a great time giving interviews for radio, magazines and newspapers. In the last six months, I’ve also had success with songwriting awards, getting to the semi-finals of the UKSC and finals of the ‘In Her Own Words’ competition.
At the moment, I’m putting the finishing touches onto my first album which will be available from Summer 2010, as well as gigging, talking to interesting people and meeting some amazing musicians. So life is good!
Hey Mrs W! Thanks for being my friend! Have you got any music I can put on my page - it's a bit empty at the moment! (I've already nicked the youtube video for Norwich, but figured that's pretty much in the public domain!) Hope the final month is being kind to you!! Axx.
Hope this finds you well and following your dreams x
I have been entered for 'The People's Music Awards' an award given to unsigned up & coming Artists and bands that have real potential in the industry.
The awards work on a three stage voting system, The first being members of the public voting for thier favorite songs, the second an industry panel, and then last it goes back to the public vote for the final stages.
Please, please vote for me, check out my profile & song at http://www.thepeoplesmusicawards.com/taralondon register & vote!, voting is now OPEN!!!
I would be incredibly grateful for your support & votes, as always thankyou so much for your ongoing affection, love and support, big love to you!! Tara London xxx
Thanks Beth - Really enjoyed your music - Always love hearing piano players, as it was something I briefly tried when I was younger and gave up on! It was a great night and I thought everyone was brilliant. Sadly still got the man-flu, but hopefully coming towards the end of it now - It's been 2 weeks! Go away damn it :-)
I think i will be needing some more vocal zones for the gig tomorrow hehe
