JOHNNY DON'T GO TO BALLINCOLLIG : JOHN SPILLANE, CHRISTY MOORE, DONAL LUNNY, DECLAN SINNOTT
Hello Doug All is well here Summer at last hearts raised and we are pulling the moon down with a rope or climbing up on a great extension ladder to touch it..... A little story told to a little boy tonight.. God Bless Tony
While understanding drowns We decline in the singular form our rights and emotions….. Another day of television And we gather our revulsion Without breathing a word…..
We are flesh to destroy With no truces or agreements Reason imposes itself on us…. We have buried in all our hearts The same dreams and vain hopes To adorn the bread
A former soccer player-half entrepreneur After failures and absurd aspirations Having lost a wife, two sons and a foot Sent some gladiator To the popular party of the schools opening No freedom….no freedom Is worth this blood!
No religion that speaks of fallen truths is worth From the very same sky in the wrong pockets The misunderstood feeling of love Of a God who compels to die Those who don’t want to die
No freedom….no freedom Is worth this blood No freedom….no freedom Is worth this blood
So I find myself resigned to my private abyss To the mercy of a tasteless pill I fold up my smile in a drawer Turn off
Hello Doug Hope you are keeping well You can't beat a bit of trauma like moving house to get the songwriting juices flowing. I have a few new ones myself but I need to beat them into shape and do some recording. I'm hoping towards the end of the year to have something worth listening to Its still all very west of Ireland stuff. Its all I know !! All the best Tony
thanks so much for putting out the WPB. in addition to being a great singer/songwriter/instrumentalist, he was an inspiring performer who always put the music first. we have much to learn from that.
Thanks very much for the add. Please spread the word to all your friends and family in or around Boston that this is going to be a great show with Karan Casey, John Spillane, Buille, Kieran Jordan Dancers and guests, on St. Patrick's Day.
