Why is this Myspace up?
To help more High School Students go to college.
|
Why do I want to help?
I want to make sure that all people regardless of skin color creed, or sexual orientation have the means to go to college.

Basically I want to help other high school teens get into college. I think that I have a lot of useful information on how Californian teens can go on into higher education.
I’m working with the Oakland Applied Research Center ARC. The ARC and I hope that their work will be beneficial to students of color.
Why Just Focus of Student of color?
Though many people of all creeds deserve to go to college, the disparity between White and Black and Latino and to an extent Asian is stifling: especially in places like Los Angeles. Though many different groups are disadvantaged I personally find that the racial disparity are too wide not to notice and not to alleviate. It's time to take notice and the fact that there are wide racial group in the USA. Even in a progressive state like California, the gap between "White" education and People of Color education is wide and widening for several different reasons.
despite this gap, people of color need to rise. We need to work hard for a better life. One of the best ways to help yourself and people is to go to college.

Though not a solution to everything, going to college helps people earn more, learn more, and be in the position to make positive change.
More people of color in more universities is a sure way to help the America face its growing "race"
