About me: I was born under the gaze of a wandering star and it all went downhill from there. Since that fateful day I've enjoyed the rewards of being not very good at anything particular. I live in your internets and plan to take over one day. I just have to finish gathering some more qualifications with no particular purpose and this bottle of wine and I'll be right with you. I like to write things down places and leave them there. Sometimes I forget where I've put them and never see them again but inside I feel pleased knowing I arranged the letters in a manner I saw fit. I believe in world peace, absurdity and embarassment and god stopped believing in me when I was about 10. That's all.
1st of March, todays the day, start of Spring, here to stay. Six months time, down the line, Turning 30, with bottles of wine.
Leaving twenties all behind, a thirties girl, sealed and signed. Thirty candles for her cake, Boyfriend in kitchen, starts to bake.
Thirty years old is her mind, her heart is thirty, pure and kind. Body of thirty,in dress of green, standing before us,an internet Queen.
Thirty years before, the day she was born, into a world,a shining new dawn. Screaming and crying, happy yet sad, hand on her mouse, fingers on pad.
What will she do,on that birthday of hers, Down to the pub, dressed up in her furs. Drinks for everyone, there in that place, For drinkning can sometimes turn into a race.
Maud stands on table, and raises her glass. Here's to the future, goodbye to the past.
Her friends and her lovers are waiting outside, They hired a bus and came along for the ride.
Everyone's here, for a day such as this, Hugs from the birthday girl, and a delicate kiss.
Back to the house, for bacon and eggs, in front of the fire, tried old legs. Plates of food, are given to friends, chirping on window ledge, sparrows and wrens.
Pots of tea, ready to pour, For Maud is the woman, the one to adore. Time for a swim, after a piece of her cake. Quick cup of tea and it's down to the lake.
Maud is first in,splashing about, freezing her balls off,of that there's no doubt. After an hour of ducking and diving, back to the house, guests still arriving.
The party goes on,into the night, Almost eleven,no sign of a fight. Everyone sleeps on floor and table, Stuff of legend,no imaginary fable.
Happy unbirthday, genius. I missed it yesterday cos I was away. I am too busy with life and singing stuff to write much at the moment just like you. Enjoy your 29th as next year you won't be twenty anything ever again! Miss your imagination. Miss your wit. Miss your pith. Miss you. Let me know when you are in London next.
a) the charming simplicity, as you observed, was manufactured. The remainder of that very day, the day of the pose, was so disturbingly chaotic, that even if I could remember it, I hope that I can keep what I've recalled, and what's been recalled to me, to myself...
b) this evening, I helped my friend paint the house he just bought, then he bought me some drinks...
c) I'm very self-absorbed. It's a problem, I suppose.
Will ya just stop and look at all these lovely things people are saying about little Miss Shouty.
What do you think of the photo....the black and white one....reminds me of Yvette Fielding from `Most Haunted`!!!!.She has just spotted an [aura] and is about to freak.....and of course you do know her hair is red...red like the flames of bonfire that has been lit at midnight on a deserted beach in Mexico.Burning thru the night, only settling at around 5 in the morning....that's the kinda red I'm talking about....
67 COMMENTS.....WOW!!!!!!
I've got to get 66 more to catch up.
10 things I love about MaudConstance.
1; the way she stirs her coffee in the morning.....slowly!
2; she has never ever spat in the street....real ladies don't.
3; she will always squeeze her peaches before handing over her money.
4; Despite being sunburnt in Cairo, she still took time to find all the best tyre shops in town....what a gal!!!!
5; her teeth are brushed twice a day.Officially Confirmed.
6; She treats herself at the weekends to a glass or two of Sainsburys champagne
7; If she has an itch, she will stratch it,regardless of who may be in the room.
8; She bakes her own bread....not normal sensible every day kinda bread...but `arty-farty` bread, the sort of bread that doesn't contain any bread in it.
9; If she fanices a Chinese of a friday night....you can bet a pound to a penny she will always go for the duck.
10; Up front she may seem at times like a fire-breathing dragon, all claws and sharp teeth....but underthe surface, she is a little churchmouse scurrying around looking for bits of cheese just like the rest of us.
YAY!!! It's PopsicleCulture!!! You made it to my top 8 section. Why, you ask? Cause "Windows" is my new favorite film. And I'm from Hollywood, so my opinion on movies matters much more than other people's opinions on movies do. :D
Yeah, I like Alice (the game) and Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books ever, so I popped that theme up there for a minute but didn't like it much.
I didn't know you were Betty Cotton too, hence the comment. The first time I stopped by, didn't see all of the comments from long time ago ... just saw them last night when I came by (prompted by the change in pic).
Hey, nice youtubes. You've suddenly unveiled to me the terrifying death attracting capacity of windows! I shan't go near one for a month! Though we live on the ground floor...
It was also somewhat surprising to see the video was produced by none other than Peter Greenaway??? Did the most inscrutable director of all time really make that??
My goodness! I had no idea you were Betty Cotton you sly dog you! Hey CT-thanks for the humungous big comment compliment (unfortunately that was a week and half ago and I now look like a bloated harpooned minki whale but anyway...)and thanks for the invite over this away. When I stop being a salivating groupie surrounded by all my favourite artists (now my "friends"-LOL!) I will attempt to start writing. Glad to see you're still the same old gorgeous you! XXX
I think you would really like Peter Greenaway's films. He's a British director whose films lean towards the odd, the bizarre, the surreal, and sometimes, even the grotesque. Some of his titles are 'The Cook, The Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover', 'Z00 - A Zed and Two Naughts', 'The Draughtsman's Contract'. I'm sure you can find all of his stuff on dvd or video.
And, yeah, Paul Weller - my kind of guy.
