Where shall we begin? In the beginning there was Joel. Joel writes songs about roommates, mermaids, and anonymous sex in rest areas. Joel is the Albino Rhino with shaving foam. He's a plaster disaster. Jon and Mike and Eddy thought it would be fun to unleash him on an unsuspecting public. They went swimming together in a slurry of beer and cigarette butts. They wrote a bunch of songs and recorded a demo of some of them. They built a rehearsal space in Cambridge together, but then it burned down.
Betty Ford Pickup is only 5 guys from Massachusetts who like to play music together. They also just happen to have a "cease & desist" letter from the Betty Ford Clinic.
