Between The Lines was formed in February 2006 by Bryan Zimmerman. Bryan recruited his former bass instructor, James, into the band and also added Justin as the guitarist to create the full band. With strong emphasis on a live show, Between The Lines recorded The Red Room Sessions as a live band for their debut 6 song EP.
A few months and a few shows passed until the decision was made to fire the drummer and replace with another. After a few temporary drummers, Chris was located in November 2006 and started playing with the band immediately. Popularity rose in Orlando and the band played in many notable shows, including the WJRR Battle for Earthday Birthday.
In August 2007, James left the band to pursue other endeavors and Kyle was the permanent replacement. The chemistry clicked instantly and the band wrote a number of great songs relatively quickly. In March 2008, Between the Lines recorded another 5 song EP which was never released, but did include the hugely-popular "Take 2 Hits". 3 of the songs, including "...stuck outta my head" were recorded at Pulse HD Studios by Caine Lee. The music is available on MySpace.
After a month break in the summer of 2008, the band played a monumental set at The Dropa Stone's cd release party, which ended up being the final show for the band.
On June 27, 2008, Between the Lines announced the disbandment and was widely regarded as one of the best Orlando bands and group of musicians in 2007 and 2008. They brought an interestingly upbeat, positive and progressive sound to an otherwise painfully mediocre music scene.
Chris Francis will return to his long-term project The Quiet Earth, an indie-jazz band that gained notoriety during 2005-2006 before taking a temporary hiatus until 2008.

Damn sad to hear that there is no more BTL! Was hoping to see you guys play when I got back to Florida. Weel, hope everything goes good for Chris and everyone stay safe and know that we wil always be looking out for everyone's freedom!
