I'm interested in many things: Reading and studying the Bible for my Sunday School class. Writing stories for young people and teenagers to enjoy. Researching my ancestors. Snapping photos of my grandchildren and great-grands. Playing the piano. Taking long walks through the mesquite patch on our twenty-five acres. Watching the hummingbirds, mocking birds, house finches and others. Watching for deer. Making scrapbooks for the kids and grands. I'm sure I'll think of other things later.

About me:

I am a wife, mom, mema, and great-mema. For many years I was a teacher. Now that I'm retired I read and I write, which is rather weird since when I was a child I hated to read. Book reports were a nightmare. Even though my teacher sent a poem I wrote in 8th grade to a high school anthology, and it was published, I hated to write. Nevertheless, I attended Midwestern State University, read a lot, and graduated with a teaching degree. Perhaps it was reading Newbery books with my students that made me discover the magic of books. Or maybe it was reading to my three sons that I learned to love Dr. Seuss. I can't pinpoint an exact time, but suddenly I was reading everything I could. And I was writing, too. It's been a long, tough road to publication, but I'm getting there. When you have a chance, check out my young adult paranormal LISTEN TO THE GHOST. It's not only for teens but for everyone, from 10 to 100, who likes ghost stories and mysteries. SECRETS I HAVE KEPT is another mystery with a kidnapping, an Australian blue heeler, a Harley, and a mysterious flower. Rebel in Blue Jeans is the story of a girl whose mother runs away with the drummer in a rock band and what she does to bring her mom home. And I'm happy to announce Just Breeze and Caves, Cannons and Crinolines will be out this fall/winter.
