V.A. - Mixter Two - I Dont Know What Im Doing (CD1)
'Best-selling Brad Sucks has always been exceptionally down with the whole "derivative works" thing, so we were excited when we heard he was assembling two albums' worth of his favorite remixes of his own music by more than a dozen different artists. Veteran remixers Deutscheunschuld and Sharp make great contributions here, as do more than a dozen of the other mad scientists over at ccMixter. On CD1, we especially like Blackberry's futuristically gritty treatment of "Dirtbag", and Bert Fonte's quirky, Beatles-esque take on "Fixing My Brain."' [magnatune.com]
I'm proudly present the participation on the "Foem - Electronic Youth Vol. 15" crammed with lots of great stuff from newcomer artists all around the globe. My contribution is the stylish dnb-track "Monster's Paradise", placed on CD1, track 2. Lots of flowers to foem for supporting my music.
'2007 is turning out to be a year for not only guest artists but very talented guest artists.
blackberry is no exception with four of the most involving tracks to get into. Hailing from the
former east germany, perhaps we have a little of the industrial roots appearing as an influence
within his music. (...) Enjoy this work of art from blackberry.' [kahvi.org]
Tracklist:
01. Meeresflug
02. From Source To Ocean
03. Train Station Dub
04. Demons
Blackberry likes to create (unusual) (electronic) music beyond the mainstream in a wide range of styles located in the more listening and less dancing direction, like Ambient, Dub, Experimental, Lounge, Downtempo and so on. His music is opend-minded to any other musical influence.
Every piece of his music tries to be something special, spiced with some experimental elements without being too nerdy, abstractly and freaky.
His sound is focussed on quality and creativity - not quantity.

Review from igloomag about Deep Silence: Perhaps the best of this group of ambient tracks however is “Deep Silence” by Blackberry, a 12 minute piece opening with gentle birdsong, drifting tones and clean rhythmic beats that become sharper and slightly faster to form a shimmering break with a deep vibrating bassline and a catchy melody.
