After a twat posting bollocks on the well known subways forum, Casper and Cal McRae sat down and wrote some genius lyrics to the song - "I Know A Girl Called Kat". Casper then returned to his home to break the Arctic Monkey's hearts by telling them that he will no longer write lyrics for the band as he has joined "Be Your Own AIDS Victim"
Cal McRae orignally sung for the now well known "Biffy Clyro" before Simon Neil joined the band and Cal decided it was time to go, "Vertigo Of Bliss" and "Blackened Sky" albums were written by Cal McRae. Cal's brother is also in a band, but they're shit, called "The Cocks" or is it "The Kooks.."
Then theres the mighty Craig Jones, who recently joined the band but blew us away with the song "Breathing Inside Out". Craig was originally working alongside Chunk for Bill Gates, just raking in the cash on a normal day.
This band is supported by a great bunch of people all providing ace and mixed sound/vocals.
BYOAV have recently been holding lengthy discussions about the band's future. Although 2 new songs have been written (check them out on the player) it is thought that these will be the last that the band record under this guise. However BYOAV are not dead, in fact it's the start of a new era, as a name change and total redirection is around the corner. Casper, CJ and Cal McRae have all been off on their own pathways writing new material and will shortly come back together to record demos. Whatever the future, BYOAV will live on, and the classics you've all come to know and love will not be forgotten. The band are said to be truly proud and honoured at the reaction to their works, and will strive to continue this in their new direction. Until then, BYOAV xxx

the sad news about byoav has made me extremely glad i witnessed the original recording sessions, and that i contributed my excellent vocal talents to such a young gifted band.
