About me: Artist Director of Antics Performance http://www.AnticsPerformance.com and Co-Artistic Director of the show Breaking the Cypher http://www.BreakingTheCypher.com
Dancer, Capoeirista, Choreographer, and teacher, with an MFA from UCLA's Dept. of World Arts and Cultures, living and working in Los Angeles. I've been breaking and training Capoeira for over 9 years, dancing hip hop for longer than that, and I have a secret past life that involves salsa, tango, modern dance, and snowboarding. I use all these influences in my hip hop dance/theater creations under the name Antics Performance. In addition to my own work, I also perform with Kujo's Lux Aeterna dance company www.LuxAeternaDance.com I come from a family of environmental and social activists. I like to go surfing on my rare days off. Training gymastics is my newest love along with Sufism and Concept Therapy.
Who I'd like to meet: Peeps who got something vital to say. Peeps who are down for street dance in it's various beautiful forms (b-peopling, freestyling, house, locking, popping), capoeira, surfing, wilderness conservation, monkeys, and guacamole. Conscious peeps who resist and disrupt the dehumanizing capitalist system and the corrupt governments and corporations that impose this system. Visionary peeps who have creative solutions to our social/economic/political ills. Forward thinkers creating new cultural paradigms.

The FLARE broken down scientifically. Progressive steps to build coordination, strength, and timing from very, very, veeeery basic, step by step to very very advanced...but workshop designed for beginners to ones who can get around a few times.
BUILD YOUR FLARES TO BE STRONG AND Lasting long!
Common Mistakes with Corrections & Safety addressed.
In this method, Sooperman Windmills are a by product of learning the Flare because they are the same body mechanics and dynamics. The Sooperman Windmill is a Flare without the hands on the ground level; conversely, and Flare is a Sooperman Windmill at arms distance to the ground. I can prove this.
The Sooperman Windmills I am referring to are the Old School ones from the 80's, also known as a Belly Mill, Chest Mill, (and >briefly< known as an Egg Roll in the 80's). This is not a Flying Mill or Flying Superman Mill where the carry over is across the palms above your head.
