I am a singer/songwriter with years of experience in various genres. My latest newly completed project is a collaboration of Indian influences with funky down-beat using both samples and live instruments.
The instruments on this album include: trumpet (performed by Simon Kay from P-Bass Expressway), sax, bass, tablas, sitar, tamboura, spanish guitar solos, jazz guitar solos and Indian vocal improv.
I thrive on experimenting with blending contemporary music with more ethnic elements, especially Indian.
My main instruments are guitar, bass, vocals and just a little keyboard. I have also recently completed on an album of songs I've written which are of a more alternative pop/blues/rock genre. As well as that I have recently completed a tribute album to a wonderful devotee singer/songwriter Parivadi das, a disciple of His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. Parivadi passed away from cancer in the late 80's.
I used to work as an engineer and producer for Creative Places Recording Studio in Christchurch working with grass roots singer/songwriters. Now I am focusing primarily on my spiritual life after my health took a major dive. I am now living in a pallative care rest home with terminal kidney cancer with perhaps only months to live. I am spending my time now associating with devotees, promoting my last albums, but most importantly focusing on hearing and chanting to prepare for my death.
