For the past 15 consecutive years, Columbus Ohio has been host to the Hip Hop Expo, a celebration of the impact that hip hop culture has made throughout and beyond the urban communities.
Created by B.H.B for Brothers Helping Bruthas the Hip Hop Expo is an event that showcases upcoming talent and provides a forum for networking artists, industry entrepreneurs, and hip hop enthusiasts. Aspiring lyricists travel miles just to get a chance to spit a rhyme in the highly anticipated m.c. battle.
DJs bring their rotation of rhythms, telling their stories through spinning records and showing their skills by mixing, cutting, and scratching. B-Boys/B-Girls, breakers, and hip hop dancers lay down their newest moves on a vinyl floor adorned with the signatures of "graff" artists.
The Hip Hop Expo has become the event that many Midwest hip hop enthusiasts use as their forum to network and voice their reverence for the culture.
