The bass in my dad's voice when he's singing the wrong words to a song. My mom's backup dancer two-step. The lyrical ninjas I spare with on the daily, steel by which I am sharpened.

Technically speaking I dig all those typical poets trip-hop rock indie whatever it is they label good music now. Floetry when they don't talk about love. Elemental hip-hop all the time (Go To Guys:Common, Mos Def, Roots etc.). Esthero, Cat Power, I could keeps going but you don't really care
Love might if it talked like us. Wind if it screamed through tunnels running under mountains. Silence before creation. A bird's heart breaking. Self realization, wake up and do it all over again
A spitter to the core, and watch her behind the boards! Fell in love with poetry early and enact said infatuation through formal outlets such as the progressive non-profit Art From Ashes (offering workshops and counseling centered around creative expression as a means for healing), powerhouse performance ensamble Roc Em Soc Em, and national slam champion teams ranking first in 2006 and fourth in 2007 from mercury café and slamnuba (respectively).
The past half a decade has been spent toiling in and out of studio coils producing a slew of audible spoils for Acesi Productions (Lucifury’s debut lp “Impact”, compilations for both 2006&2007 national finalist teams, the highly anticipated solo project “Left Fist Evolution” {due out next month}, the list does go on…)
As a child of hip-hop, natural musical inclinations must be extended and pursued, and thieves envy how thick my squad gets. Full production from Gyp da Hyp and Ace, occasional beat writing from yours truly (if you like that spacey shit), and more lyrics than you can shake a drum stick at with pens weilded by the finest wordsmiths this side of the Mississippi (when the verse is falling limp, we can tighten up your shit!).
