About me:

Sometimes, we like to dance on vinyl - the bounce is sooo much better. We like our vinyl jazzy, funky, upbeat, dubby (but not too clubby), or downright chill. Of course our primary goal is to access lots of new music. As well as being serious buffs of nu-and old jazz, our musical indulgences often include tasty treats of arabic and african music, healthy dosages of reggae, balkan, and gypsy music. We are also fond of rootsy/ethnic fusion notes. It all makes for an interesting mix very agreable and pleasant to our ears. While we find drum and bass intellectually stimulating, electro and minimalist house keep our pulse going and feet hopping. As for candombe and tango music, what can we say other than it provides us with the dramatic element needed to stir up the passion in our lives. Occasionally we like to go retro and reflect on timeless musical gems. Psst... we also unconditionally love undiluted, steely, raspy juke joint blues from the South, you know the kind played by Robert Johnson and Hound Dog Taylor. Needless to say we have an eclectic, unsatiable and voracious musical appetite.

Who I'd like to meet:

Agents of positive change, voices who speak out against political aggression, the violation of human rights, the trafficking of human beings, the subjugation of women, the exploitation of children and the economic tyranny of the inhabitants of impoverished nations. Musicians, writers, philantropists, activists, poets, kindred spirits, social rebels, humanists, and individuals who like to reinvent themselves now and again. As politically atuned world citizens we are inspired by those musicians who are not afraid and apologetic for taking a stand and by those who chose the peaceful road to rally support for their cause. COOL, ORIGINAL COMMENTS and MUSICAL PROMOS OR ARTS EVENTS ARE WELCOMED ON OUR SPACE.
