The Caribbean musical cruise from the DESCARGA LATINA to the discovery of REGGAELOVE
RODRY-GO!, this powerful, romantic and versatile artist has now decided to show another face, presenting to the international public a brand new REGGAETON double project, made of the CD and the special live music and dance show, both named RODRY-GO! Mr. Reggae & Roll.
In fact, RODRY-GO!’s music is an irresistible and original Caribbean Reggaeton, with a heavy and very rhythmic side, definable DESCARGA LATINA (with tracks like “La melaza”, “Dale saoco”, “Comenzó el party”, “Pump it up!”, “Hands Up!”), followed by a surprisingly romantic and passionate side, called REGGAELOVE, starting with the Reggaeton-Cumbia version of Mercadonegro - and his own- Salsa masterpiece, the song “Regresaré”, then following with “Solo por ella”, “La dueña de mi Corazon”(Reggae Cha), “Pa’las mujeres” (Reggae Vallenato), and the heart touching Bachata “El primer amor” with the participation of the female voice of Colombian singer Gloria Velandia: thanks to these romantic tunes, RODRY-GO! can rightfully be described as the founder of the REGGAELOVE style.
The album RODRY-GO! Mr.Reggae & Roll is enriched by two irresistible tropical tracks, Menéalo and Amor sincero, which are sure radio and dance hits, and, naturally, by RODRY-GO!’s Salsa trademark: a tremendous Salsa with Reggaeton, entitled “DESCARGATON”, plus, as bonus track, the famous Salsa, Regresaré, together with his MERCADONEGRO.

BENICIA CARDENAS
Han sido el canto y la danza pilares fundamentales en la formaciòn de la talentosa Benicia Càrdenas Zamorano, bella negra vallecaucana que con su carisma, hechizante movimiento de cintura y por supuesto con su melodiosa voz ha sabido ganarse el cariño y el reconocimiento del pùblico colombiano dentro y fuera del paìs.
Seria su padre, Hèctor Càrdenas (hombre alegre y rumbero) quien a muy temprana edad le transmitiò y le inculcò su amor y pasiòn por el arte, el teatro, el canto y el baile; pues no existìa presentaciòn alguna en su natal Candelaria donde su hija no le acompañase. Benicia empezarìa de esta manera a bailar a los seis años de edad, participando de toda fiesta y concurso que se realizaba en la escuela y en las ferias patronales del citado pueblo.
La artista arriba a la Capital de la Salsa (Santiago de Cali) al cumplir sus doce años de edad, donde termina sus estudios secundarios para posteriormente emprender una carrera intermedia como secretaria ejecutiva, menester que sempre alternarìa con la danza del popular “Beto”, reconocido exbailarìn caleño profesional quien le enseñò los primeros movimientos coreogràficos con los cuales participarìa en numerosas y futuras manifestaciones, ferias y verbenas populares de la ciudad.
En 1986, Benicia es llamada a vincularse a la escuela de danza “Calirumba”; para aquèl entonces la universidad de salsa màs grande de la capital vallecaucana dirigida por el ilustre Jairo Sànchez (Director de Imàgenes Televisiòn). En “Calirumba” estudiò la danza moderna, clàsica, la expresiòn corporal, el manejo escènico y fue a travès de “Calirumba” que tendrìa la posibilidad de viajar por primera vez fuera y dentro del paìs representando y dejando por lo alto el nombre del Folklore nacional.
Desde entonces la carrera artìstica de Benicia Càrdenas Zamorano se disparò positivamente…”Recuerdo que fuì llamada a realizar varios videos musicales en mi paìs, el video de la Loterìa del Valle en el año 87, el video de la canciòn Siloè de Jàmes Moncada, el video de la Feria de Cali en el año 88, el videoclip “La que se fue” del cèlebre cantante vallenato Lisandro Mesa e incluso la promociòn de la exitosa novela de RCN televisiòn “Azùcar”, donde incluso permitieron mi participaciòn en algunos capìtulos de la misma”, manifiesta con orgullo la cantante y bailarina quien el año 1993 participarìa y ganarìa la famosa serie “Soneros II” de Cañaveral Televisiòn hacièndose acreedora a la grabaciòn de su primer sencillo.
Con el tiempo Benicia es invitada a ser parte de otra reconocida companìa de baile formada en su gran mayorìa por exbailarines de “Calirumba”, el denominado “Ballet Azùcar” de Liliana Salinas con la cual tuvo de nuevo la oportunidad de alcazar nuevos e importantes reconocimientos nacionales e internacionales como el obtenido en Puertorico en el ano 1998 durante el Segundo Congreso Mundial.
En este mismo ano la encantadora Benicia se transladarìa a Italia, lugar donde reside actualmente y donde continua dando de que hablar como bailarina de la mano del “Ballet Melao” al lado de otro talentoso caleno Cèsar Gutierrez. Cabe precisar que en el viejo continente ha trabajado con buena fortuna en varios grupos importantes como la Orquesta Novecientos de la ciudad de Parma, asì como con el reconocido arreglista y mùsico italiano Giuseppe Cominotti.
Por todo lo anterior, el 2009 serà un año prometedor para la hermosa negra de Candelaria, pues serà el tiempo de promociòn y difusiòn de su nuevo trabajo musical como solista denominado:PARA TOCAR Y BAILAR ,elaborado con un altìsimo nivel artistico en el cual han participado mùsicos de la talla de Jorge Herrera, Carlos Latoche y el actual Director de la Orquesta Son de Cali Diego Giraldo, bajo el sello disquero BIBOMUSIC.
