About me: Bicycling Australia is a bi-monthly cycling magazine, published and owned by Lake Wangary Publishing Company. Bicycling Australia was launched in late 1989 by Phil and Catie Latz.
Bicycling Australia magazine was followed over the years by Bicycling Trade, Bicycling Yearbook, Bicycling Buyers Guide, Bicycling Australia Show Guide and Mountain Biking Australia.
In 2001 the annual Bicycling Australia Challenge was founded. It is a long distance ride to raise funds for Teen Challenge (since renamed 'One80TC' in NSW). It was handed over to One80TC in and continues to operate under their oversight.
On 23rd June 2006 BA Gear was launched through Bicycling Australia. This online store offers a range of cycling merchandise for sale including books, calendars, DVDs, posters, giftware and jewellery.
During 2006 we also established BA Press, through which we plan to publish a range of cycling books. The first was Where To Ride Queensland and went on sale in 2007.
Bicycling Australia magazine features articles about road racing, cycling training and recreational riding.
Just a short note to wish you a Merry Christmas and also to plant a small seed of hope that next year will be a better year for you than this year was.
Hey Bicycling Australia, If you aren't listening to any music right now, maybe grab a cold one and drink with the Knuckleheads on Biker.FM. We finally produced some killer shows with LIVE hosts and a bunch of videos featuring Babes and Bikes and some other twisted stuff. We also added some cameras to the studio. That way when you do come around, we'll drink along with yah. Stop in and party anytime. Total respect, GC Biker.FM
Also, if you've got something you want sold to the Biker community, we can get it sold. Sponsorship programs from 25 bucks a month, which is dang cheap. If you want to, you can send us your email address, and we'll send you a media kit, and then some sales. However we can help a brother or sister out, you know we will. This Biker.FM stuff is all about you.

Here is my quote of the week. I hope you enjoy it!
"Nothing can stop the man with the right mental attitude from achieving his goal; nothing on earth can help the man with the wrong mental attitude." --Thomas Jefferson
To me, "Long Distance" is more inclusive than "Endurance". You see, to me, endurance rides start at somewhere around the 300K or double century, and ultra-distance rides start at the 24-hour point. Long Distance rides, then, include centuries and those training for centuries. But that might just be my perspective.
