   About Biffy Clyro

2007 was the year the tortoise overtook the complacent hare and claimed the glory. Faced with a musical climate of TV talent freakshow contestants momentarily setting the gossip world aflutter before plunging back into obscurity, and fame hungry starlets publicly unravelling in front of the paparazzi, the alternative came in the shape of ‘Puzzle,’ the fourth album by Ayrshire rock trio Biffy Clyro, which exploded to propel the band out of the underground where they’d been honing their craft and into the mainstream consciousness. The gold-selling major label debut went on to shift over 250,000 copies, to the delight of the loyal and passionate fanbase who had been willing them on for the past decade. An overnight success story, this is not. The next chapter is Only Revolutions.

Biffy are amazing, been an avid fan throughout all the albums.Just waiting for my box set sooo excited.
Fuck the haters but everyone will have their own opinions if you don't like the new stuff then who cares, not every album has to be the same. They are all amazing for their own unique way and they all have something different to put across.

Keep up the amazing talented work that you all do!
Mon the Biffy!

what exactly constitutes a "true" biffy fan? god this bullshit is getting so boring. so what their new stuff is fucking different than the first three?!?!! its still fucking good shit!! puzzle was tunage after tuneage and listening to this only revolutions stuff is further cementing themselves as an absolute fucking class act band. 5 incredible albums and all 5 they can be incredibly proud of.

All you "true" biffy fans, get a fucking grip, no one really gives a shit if your "disappointed" by the new stuff, dont fucking listen to it then!! youre not in the band, no one really cares too much about your pissy moaning!! they write what they feel and its good shit. rant over.

As much as Simonage is entitled to his own opinion, there was no need to be brutal like that. The "clown shoes" and "Watered down Jo Whiley" remarks I found immature, as well as the Star Wars Trilogy theory being lame.

Personally I think Biffy have made a great album here, it's for me one that will be on the iPod with all the other albums that are already on there. Not only that, but one of them will have to be my new ringtone!.

hmm... it's not as easy for me to either hate or love the new album. I agree with what's been said below: I'm a bit disappointed 'cause there could have been a lot more to these songs. Polished production might be a reason for me to feel that way.

Anyways, I won't buy this album blindly like i did with puzzle (though I already think it's better) and I won't go to see you live since I'm afraid they won't play much old stuff... that's absolutely plausible since it's a tour to support their new album.

It might be too much to expect the perfect biffy album (though Infinity Land and VOB are so damn close) but I will wait for it still. My interest in you/these (don't expect biffy to read this really) guys hasn't faded away. I'm too attached to the first three albums... they shaped me as musician.

In short: you've proven to write good pop songs now please write good alternative songs again (other than b-sides).

Oh god Biffy, really? I am hugely disappointed. What happened to technical brilliance and innovation? This is just watered down Jo Whiley bulls**t, and I know that defenders of this new sound will berate me for saying this coz it seems that die hard Biffy fans aren't entitled to their own opinion these days...
'Oooh they're growing up and if you can't accept that then you're not a true fan', rubbish, fans like myself are just disappointed because we know that Biffy are capable of so much more!
The way I see it, its comparable to the Star Wars trilogy, the first three were amazing and the prospect of creating more was exciting, but what came out in the end was a load of old clown shoes.

I'm getting bored of people complaining that Biff have "sold-out", and "you should write something like the first three albums". Pandering to what a few closed-minded fans think is just as bad as pandering to a label, they write what they want and what makes them happy!.
Some people also don't get the difference between selling out and just growing up, mellowing out and wanting to write good songs. Being in a somewhat 'Techie' band I can definitly feel the call to straighter/simpler songs that people can just 'GET'.

Puzzle is great, Revolutions is great, and the first 3 are great....all are different, what's so wrong with that?

Hopefully seeing you in London guys!

I think you've been seeing too much of this Gggggggggarth. He is a bad, bad influence.

Go straight to your room Biffy and no supper until you've written something to rival Vertigo.

We're not angry... we're just dissapointed x
