Speaking of dangerous minorities... I'm Persian, and no, I wasn't born with the name Paul. My given name is Pouya, and I have never given it up. However, you can imagine how traumatizing a name with "poo" in it can be to a child going to school in an English speaking country, hence the adoption of the name Paul.
I recently sold out and am now officially a corporate whore, I resisted as long as I could but when an opportunity came up that was just too tempting to pass up, I had to take it. On my weekends I choose to work in upscale nightclubs... many don't understand that, but I'm not gonna' explain it to you, it's just something I enjoy doing. Aside from that,I am well edumacated but I gave up the prospect of a good career in the field of Criminology, living in Miami and the love of my life to come back to Toronto to follow my dream of making it as an actor. So I work in a field that I enjoy (but it is by no means my passion), take classes, and basically try to beef up the acting skills while trying to break in.
Did I do the right thing? Only time will tell.
Besides my aspirations, I'm not looking for anything other than fun in my life right now. I can't be responsible to anyone other than myself if I want to make my dreams come true and no one can (or should want to) change that.
It seems that subtlety does not work too well, so here it is for those that are slow on the uptake: I am here for fun and to explore. I am here to meet interesting and fascinating people. I am here to network. I'm here to look at pictures of beautiful people. I am NOT here to find a serious relationship. Myspace became garbage when it started allowing everyone to make their profiles private (where as before it was relegated to only those that were under 16). Now almost everyone I stumble across has a private profile. You people suck and you need to get over yourselves. You fail to understand that this is a social network, and social networks FAIL TO FUNCTION when everyone shuts their doors.
Anyways, as a result of this, I lost all interest in this network because I really can't go exploring profiles anymore.
