Q:
We can’t see your face on the cover. Why the shy act?
Big Al:
Face for Radio.
Q:
Got it. How would your classify your music?
Big Al:
I’ll leave that up to the listener. I don’t worry too much about a category. I obviously love country, but many of the new songs I’m currently recording would probably be categorized as crossover or something else.
Q:
So more tunes are on the way. Do you write
your own songs?
Big Al:
I do, but many are a collective effort with Alternative family members.
Q:
I heard there were plans in the works for you to open for a very successful, well-known group.
Big Al:
Yes, but it didn’t work out.
Q:
That’s too bad. Why not?
Big Al:
They didn’t think my material was sophisticated enough for their audience.
Q:
Really? Who was it?
Big Al:
The Wiggles.
Q:
You have quite a catalog of music. How come you haven’t distributed any of it before?
Big Al:
The home studio didn’t work out too well. I found it difficult to concentrate with two kids throwing footballs at my head. But once I started leaving boarding school brochures around the house, things calmed down quite a bit. I’m now working full time on my music.
Q:
How are you distributing this music?
Big Al:
Well, Christmastime will be available on itunes shortly and I hope to have a full CD done in the first part of ’08. I’ll also post new songs on this site as they become available.
