BIG APPLE'ACHIA IS:
You never know until you come and see!
Influences
Pioneers of bluegrass and old country music mostly. Monroe, Stanleys, Flatt Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, Carter Family, Roy Acuff, Buzz Busby...and all like that!
Our goal is to specialize in the obscure, "deep catalogue" music of the least known bands of the southern mountains...whom most are dead!
BigAppleachia is a tight, hardcore, traditional bluegrass band playing in the New York City, and New England area...and we will travel!!
The band is very talented, with experienced, bluegrass singers and musicians! All of the boys have honed their skills in other bands, locally and nationally.
You won't hear country style bluegrass better than this anywhere in the country!
Whether its music of the Stanley Brothers, Jimmy Martin, or obscure bands like the King Brothers of Virginia or the Shady Valley Boys...chances are that this is bluegrass you've not heard before!
Come see us...and hear it for yourself! You'll be hooked on bluegrass all over again! BigApple'achia (Big Apple Atcha)
"One and all, the time is near, gather 'round the gang's all here"
"Big Apple'achia are skyscrapingly high, lonesome purists!" The Village Voice
