Influences
I've been lucky to have some amazing teachers - Pat Moulds, Jack Budrow, Rodney Whitaker, Dave Holland, Cecil Mcbee, Oscar Stagnaro, Ran Blake, Dominique Eade, Danilo Perez, Reggie Wooten.
I'm influenced by:
Stanley Clarke, Edgar Meyer, Christian Mcbride, Chris Wood, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Jaco, Bootsy, James Jamerson, Gary Karr, Ray Brown, Paul Chambers, Charlie Parker, Miles, Herbie, John Scofield, Soulive, Jimmy Smith, Django Reinhardt, Shostakovich, Bach, Cachao, James Brown, The Meters, Prince, Michael Jackson, Cannonball Adderley, Billie Holliday, Thelonious Monk, NEC, the places I've been, and everyone I've ever jammed with, really there are just too many influences to list . . .
I've been playing music my whole life. I'm madly in love with the bass, but I can't chose between the double bass and my assortment of electric basses. I started out as an orchestral player, but as I got into high school and college I became absorbed in improvisational music of all kinds. These days I go to New England Conservatory and play with a bunch of serious players and study with some heavy cats.
hey i'll see you monday night at sambuca. wear a coat and bring the acoustic. I'll call you. Donna Lee! Impressive! We wont be playin that one ive got a bunch of 3 chord tunes.
