Most anything by Kevin Smith, M. Night Shyamalan, and Akira Kurosawa. Some of my favorite moves are Aliens, Braveheart (my original family name is McGreggor,) Fight Club, and Hero (one of the most visually impressive movies I have ever seen.) I could care less for most big blockbuster action type movies. The more explosions the less I could care (in most cases.)
Books
When I get around to reading, not to often due to school and work, I tend to read religious books, autobiographies, social/political/philosophical books, and the occasional graphic novel (Lucifer, 100 Bullets, Sandman, Lone Wolf and Cub, The Path, V for Vendeta (way prior to the movie coming out, which I still want to see.)
