My name is Shannon and I am a tech guy. I have worked at East Tennessee State University in the Department of Distance Education and now ELearning where I have built and maintained the interactive tv classrooms for around 16 years. I take the lead in troubleshooting and innovation of the distance education technology. I troubleshoot equipment, networks, social systems, and people.
My passion is writing and producing videos with my friends. Nothing makes me happier than getting a project finished and enjoyed by an audience. I have co-produced a few short films and published science fiction stories, worked in radio and tv, acted, danced, and I sometimes open my apartment to artists and have art shows.
I am a somewhat quiet neo-victorian bohemian roustabout that loves horror, science fiction, and the creative process. It takes my breath away to watch other people create vibrant original works! I believe that I'm not easily classified.
I am addicted to my twitter:
REPO-The Genetic Opera,Evil Dead, Fulchi's Zombie, Serenity, Reanimator, The Thing, Slither, Much Ado About Nothing, Titanic, Romeo Must Die, Clerks, Clerks 2, Shock Treatment, Dr. Modred, Puppet Master, The Freak From Suck Weasel Mountain (Geek Maggot Bingo), Anguish, Bride of Frankenstein, Reanimator, The Thing, Bloodsucking Freaks, Phantasm Series, Moulin Rogue, Mary Poppins, Chicago, The Music Man, The Big Sleep, The Trouble With Harry, Vertigo, Guadalcanal Diary, Run Silent, Run Deep, Strictly Ballroom, High Plains Drifter, Amelie, Popeye, Drunken Master, Band of Brothers, Fido, What Dreams May Come

I'm a Good Guy. There aren't many of us left.
I am a dreamer. I am always thinking of ways to make the mundane more interesting, a way to make people happier through my work. I'm a builder. I aim high and have impossibly high standards for those around me. I like taking people that should be incompatible and building them into a community. I like making things. I'm a DO-er. I will start 10 projects to accomplish 1, but I will see the project that survives out to the end.
I love meeting odd and creative people. People who are honest and friendly, yet not interested in conforming to the mainstream. Artists, performers, musicians, and poets have a special affinity for my unique circle of friends right beside construction workers, mechanics, bartenders, and janitors.
To get to know me is really easy. Be yourself, be kind, be respectful to others and we will get along fine even if you are a real ass.
I love talking horror and science fiction, DragonCon, or learning more about steampunk or neo-victoriana.

There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."

“SACRIFICE is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend SACRIFICE.”
—Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes
