Cet orchestre de 15 musiciens créé à l’initiative du trompettiste Michel Barret regroupe en son sein des musiciens principalement issus de la région roannaise. Depuis sa création en 2000, il s’est déjà produit sur de nombreuses scènes lors de festivals ou de clubs de jazz. Le BBR interprète cette année la musique de Charles Mingus, Oliver Nelson, Bill Holman, Carla Bley ou Dave Holland.
