Nun startet die Band n u B o x zum nächsten großen Abenteuer: Angeregt von Olaf Stötzler haben Alois Kott & Peter Eisold das nuBox-Konzept in die Klangdimensionen einer Bigband ausgeweitet. So entsteht eine völlig neuartige, zukunftsorientierte Variante von elektronisch-akustischem Jazz, die man "BigBandTronics" nennen könnte. Auch Ed Partyka, der Orchesterleiter der hr-Bigband, ließ sich von den computerisierten NuBox-Grooves und den Sound-Fragmenten des "Turntablisten" kräftig inspirieren und eröffnet mit seinen Arrangements nicht nur der hr-Bigband eine neue Welt, sondern dem orchestralen Jazz als ganzem. "Limbic System Files" ist weit entfernt von dem, was gemeinhin "Big-Band-Musik" heißt: Die kreiselnden, pochenden Bläserparts legen vielmehr den Beginn eines neuen Genres nahe. Für die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung war die Premiere dieses Projekts in Frankfurt 2005 denn auch der „künstlerische Höhepunkt" des Deutschen Jazzfestivals.
