The Big Bang is a regular Christian music event in Hastings for young people. Starting in November 2003. Although aimed at teens and early twenties, we welcome everyone who appreciates a good nights entertainment. However we feel it is only suitable to those age 11 and above . The concert features Christian rock bands.
The aim is that Christian youth groups and individuals can come along with their non-christian friends to hear good quality music, assured that there are no prayers or preaching, therefore keeping The Big Bang cringe free. Big Bang Promotions is a not for profit organisation.
This is a non-denominational event, which is organised by a core team with the support of their churches. Big Bang Promotions has the full support of Hastings Youth Forum and Hastings Churches Together along with many youth leaders and Ministers in Kent and Sussex.
The Big Bang Promotions team would love to come to your church and share the vision and explain what we're about. We can lead youth meetings or home groups or give a short presentation to you all. Please visit our site for more information.
Big Bang Promotions vision is to see all the local churches benefit and blessed in two ways from these events. Firstly by their young people being encouraged in their walk with Christ and secondly as a step towards introducing their non Christian friends to their own churches. Because Big Bang Promotions is NOT a church we encourage people to support their own churches and for their friends to join them at those churches.
Each event is planned with the safety of all young people in mind. Therefore we have SIA door security to stop the younger ones leaving on their own and to stop any unwelcome people coming in. We also have a qualified first aider on site at all times. We do not allow smoking or alcohol on the premises.
We have a tuck shop and there is also merchandise (from the bands) that can be purchased. Often CD's or T shirts are available, and not forgetting our popular silicone wristbands! Our new merchandise is now also available.
