Quote of the Month
"Ben's a damn tough guy. He's one of the biggest competitors in this locker room. Any time anyone goes down and someone's poking their fingers and they can't feel it, that's scary. Anytime you get numbness and things like that you have to take every precaution. That's the trainers' job to do that, and they did it. Luckily, it was only as severe as it was and he can hopefully help us win this week.
"Look at what the guy's been through from the time he got here. He's been through a lot and still stands up in the pocket and makes guys miss and makes plays for us. I think he's tough as hell." -- Brett Keisel, in an article in the San Diego Union-Tribune, Jan. 10, 2009."
From the Proclamation of Findlay Mayor Pete Sehnert:
Whereas: A 2000 graduate of Findlay High School, Ben Roethlisberger was a star athlete in football, basketball, and baseball; and

A MESSAGE FROM BEN -
Yes, you read that correctly.
On May 8th, 2008, I received a message from Ben through his agent, Mr. Ryan Tollner. Ben wanted me to share it with the fans that visit the main site (www.bigbennews.com) and MySpace page and I was very pleased to do so:
"First of all, I want to thank all of you who visit this site and support me. I am truly humbled by the site and grateful it exists. The site was brought to my attention by a few people close to me who visit it regularly. I must admit, I visit sometimes to see the photos and remind myself of what I’ve been up to!
"I want to thank Erin for the amazing amount of effort she puts in to the site. I simply can’t express how much I appreciate her loyalty.
"I am motivated to be the best player I can be and the best person I can be because of good people like you who appreciate and support me. Thanks again and God bless you all." -- Ben
Mr. Tollner was kind enough to contact me for the first time last autumn to thank me for my efforts with the site, and we have recently been in contact again.
*I would like to thank both Ben and Mr. Tollner for their continued support of my site!
On May 13th, 2009, I was asked to post the following message here and on the main site by Ben's agent, Mr. Ryan Tollner:
Ben positively does not have Facebook or MySpace pages, nor a Twitter account! Any such postings are imposters and should be disregarded.
We are actively working to end this problem with those companies.
