Big Bud....music producer,DJ and boss of SOUNdTRAX RECORDS. Since his first release in 1994 he has been writing and producing his own music. He has released over 100 tracks including 4 albums, Infinty + Infinity in 1999 , followed up with a double album in 2001, Late Night Blues. 2002 saw the release of a ' producer ' album on GLO. Fast forward to 2005 and the release of another double album , Fear of Flying . From his first release up to his latest he has consistently produced soulful and emotional dance music to critical acclaim.
Having released tracks on various labels including Creative Source, Nuphonic, Moving Shadow, ParadoxMusic ,Basswerk Vibez and Good Looking Records he now runs two labels together with partner DJ.Element. They are Soundtrax Records and Super8Sound.
The Big Bud sound has been influenced by over 25 years of listening to Jazz, funk, Soul and Reggae. From attending jazz funk all-dayers back in the eighties thru the big raves of the early nineties up to todays drum and bass clubs he has always been a lover of quality, soulful music. It was after hearing the emergence of tracks with breakbeats that he decided to get involved in producing...
After finishing his first tunes he took them up to seminal dnb club , Speed , and gave them to Fabio. The result was a 3 year stint with Creative Source, releasing a handful of singles. The next stop was Good Looking Records where he spent 5 years producing a steady stream of drum and bass and downtempo cuts. After parting company with them he had to endure a two year period of isolation due to contractual problems. These two years were spent in the studio, stockpiling tracks ready for release when the time was right.
During that time he met DJ Element and was invited to join him in running Soundtrax. To date they have released 17 singles and two albums , FEAR OF FLYING and SOUNdTRAX4LIFE vol.1.
The FEAR OF FLYING double album has a truly global influence with most of the project recorded in BELIZE.After a chance meeting with a Belizian producer at home in the UK , bUd was invited to go over to BELIZE and write some music for their NATIONAL DANCE COMPANY..Armed with a laptop and a mic he set off on an adventure that would produce
most of the album...Hooking up with various musicians and vocalists each day was spent
recording in a makeshift studio , drinking rUm , eating rice'n'beans and smokin the local weed until the sun went down...BELIZE has some serious young talent as u can hear on the album..With contributions from local legend and cultural icon LUGUA , a 60 year old veteran
who sang in the traditional African slave language of GARIFUNA thru to the exciting vocal
flow of young guns G RHYMES , DANMARKUS and HOOLIGAN the album turned into the most diverse project bUd has been involved in...The CD is still available from the SOUNdTRAX website , www.soundtraxrecords.com so take a minute to check it out...
This year will see the release of another album .. Fear of Flying '" the remix project " is currently being finished off. An ambitious project that sees Bud's last album getting the remix treatment from a varied bunch of producers on the scene....From veterans such as Nookie,DJ.Suv,DJ.Red thru to nu bloods like Amaning, Livewire , Henree and Motive it looks set to be a diverse and interesting album....
Also due to re-launch very soon is the SUPER8SOUND label .. Set up to showcase some of the next generation of dnb producers it will see a string of 12"s with nu bloods sharing sides with more established names on the scene... watch out for this label in the '06 .....
It is only in the last few years that Bud has started DJing. Although not a regular on the scene in the UK he has travelled the world playing his brand of d'n'b. Countries visited so far... Hungary, Serbia, Russia, Australia , New Zealand, Belize, Mexico, Holland , Italy , Slovenia , Croatia , Romania , USA and Germany. With tours planned this year for USA AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND again Bud is busy spreading the SOUNdTRAX vibe and representing the music that he has spent more than a decade being involved with....
SOUNdTRAX 4 LIFE baby !!!!
Respect Records is glad to present its 1st vinyl release. 12 inch plate represents 2 parts of modern drum&bass music and contains compositions by Russian producers. red side: BES & RECEPTOR 'Shiva' white side: ABSTRACT ELEMENTS 'Erpeh'
Dance moods and neuro sound of woken up Shiva attract the listener to external displays and have made the track by Bes & Receptor as much as possible expected on large parties not only in Russia. On the other side Abstract Elements show ultra futuristic minimal sound in its best displays which immerses a person in itself even on a dancefloor. We love both these tracks, and this mutual respect of the opposite points of view expresses the wisdom of our label to hold on the golden middle in music...

Almost Tomorrow is the third full length collaboration album from Section 27 Netlabel founders Tam Ferrans and Andrew Paterson, under their Nonima & theAudiologist guise. This time around the sound is more melodic, and has a definite feeling of a complete and more mature sound than heard on the previous LP's "Dystopian Battle Hymns" and "Ceremony After Amputation". If you are familiar with their individual projects you may even be in for a slight surprise, as the tracks are not as beat driven like before, but are more atmospheric and sound, well... "bigger". In its 75 minutes, Almost Tomorrow takes you on a trip from the digital rain-soaked cavernous scraping in "Thoughtograph", the ethereal beat jittering of "The Colour of Rain", intercepted transmissions from unknown places in "Com-Intercept", "Ganzfeld"s huge yet strangely insect-like beats until everything you knew comes crashing around you in "Almost Tomorrow". Burning pianos, glitched out soundscapes and intricately programmed beatplay, this may well be their best work to date. Consider it the soundtrack to a rainy overcast day, but with just that glimmer of sunshine peeking from the clouds. "Almost Tomorrow" wears its heart on its sleeve.
