I believe honesty is the best policy, but you should never confuse truthfulness with her ugly stepsister, Frankness.
I think most of us are far luckier than we think we are.
My point of view may be somewhat skewed since I come from a long line of hillbillies and didn't even have indoor plumbing until I was twelve.
Everyday I thank the good Lord for my daddy's honky tonk ways because it made him teach me every Ernest Tubb & Hank Williams song he knew, so that he could put me onstage or on a bar with my little wind-up guitar and sing "Walkin' the Floor Over You" while he passed his railroad cap to collect money for his beer.
I'm grateful that Life started knockin' me down early so that I learned how to get back up.
I'm just a simple hill gal who has found a cubby hole in the NYC&W community.

Who I'd like to meet:
Anyone who can help me get on the Grand Ol' Opry-my dream is to one day walk the stage and bring humor through words and song in the tradition of the great late Miss Minnie Pearl, who was the first female member of the Opry after all. People who love embroidered and rhinestoned costumes and a great two step to a country band. Craftspeople and artists-writers, musicians,
