Norwegian BIG CITY is a new melodic heavy metal band, but the members behind have tons of years and experience in the music industry. Guitarist, Daniel Olaisen, had considered a 80's heavy metal band for ages and finally put some of his ideas together early in 2009. He contacted former band colleague in the band Scariot, Frank Ørland, also on guitar, to do some shredding leads but also contributing with riffs. A tip from a friend led us to Le'Brandt and his amazing vocals. He totally liked the demo songs Daniel and Frank recorded in Daniel's home studio and soon put on some vocals inspiring us even more to get this band going. Daniel searched some forums and got in contact with this young and talented drummer, Frank Nordeng Røe. He was professional and dedicated from the very beginning. Geir Inge Olsen completed the band when he joined in on bass guitar. The debut album has been recorded and is being mixed as we speak! ........ ....

Started singing for bands and stuff at the age of 12, but did not get any far. Finally, in 2005, Bedroom Groove released an album, but due to difficulty with the producer the whole thing ended up in court. Yeah, the production sounded terrible. Later I left the band. In 2008, I started working with Tor Talle and MEMORIA AVENUE is a product of this collaboration. I have always played with the thought of a 80's cover band and this dream was realized early in 2009. Had my debut in Satyricon in 1996 and was their live guitarist until 1999. Formed my very first own band, Scariot, in 1997. Released 4 albums, two of them also featuring Frank Ørland on guitar. Put the band on ice in 2006 after releasing the last album with members from Testament, Death and Spiral Architect! Always had a passion for extreme music, so I formed my own death metal band in 1998; BloodRedThrone. Released 5 albums and still going on. Equipment: Four string Duesenberg and Ampeg backline. .. ..At the age of 9, I started playing accordion to folk music and in 1985 I got to perform at TV and Radio. In 1990, I picked up the bass and started playing in a death metal band, but after a few years I went back to the accordion. This time I had high goals and after a couple of years with hard work I received two Norwegian Championship titles. In 1994, I started the folk rock band Helmergems and toured Scandinavia for many years. I have released many EP's over the years and participated on two albums. I started practicing on my stepfather's drumkit and it felt great! In 1996, I got my very first own drumkit and I joined a few bands at the youth club Rambu, where I also got my own rehearsal-room. I spent many hours there for several years behind the kit. In 1998, I joined a band called Sentimental Devil who released an EP in 2000 but we ended the project in 2002. The year after, I began my education at NØVGS music school and graduated in 2006. At the school, I started playing in a 80's cover band called Rapid Fire who I still play with at certain occasions. In 2008, I moved to Oslo hoping to find musicians to play with. Now, I'm involved in several projects including some session work including a wide variety of genres. .. ......
